Finals time is here

Well, it's that time of year: finals are finally upon all of us and no matter how much we did during the semester, we're still freaking out about what is going on. Me personally, well I didn't do much of anything during the semester, so I'm sort of freaking out. But really, my level of panic is relatively low compared to my fellow compatriots. Somehow, it'll all get done, and then I'll be finished and off to Texas for a week to throw a baby shower for one of my best friends.

Three classes finished, three to go. I will be so happy next Friday when I'm finished, and I fully intend to just sit and stare at a wall for no other reason than I can.

Oh yeah, it's snowing outside. That makes me :)

Must. Have. Now.

So if anyone knows me, they know that I have a love for all things vintage. I've even been described as borderline kitschy. But whatever, I think it's great!! So on that note, I have found a website that I'm going to bookmark and visit and just dream about until I finally stop renting and start owning.

www.dreamstoves.com

These stoves are beautiful. And of course, I'd probably head over to the Big Chill website and buy a coordinating refrigerator :)

From the perspective of a graduate student...

I've been in law school now for about one and a half years, and I've become a PhD student within the last six months, so I think I've had ample time to observe undergraduates and pass a judgment. (Not that I didn't do that while an undergrad, because as my fellow compatriots will attest, life as an undergrad studying electrical engineering is not exactly a typical experience...)

When someone prances into my building and starts flaunting his introduction to psychology textbook, I am not amused. I am not impressed. I don't respect you. Why? Because I'm a graduate student, and not only that, but I'm getting two degrees. Am I arrogant? Perhaps, but that's how the entire law school feels about it.

Don't even get me started on arrogant law students.

Welcome to the WWW

This is exciting, my very first blog post! I'm new to this, so hopefully I'll be good at it. I'll introduce myself. My name is Meredith, I'm 24 and married to Frank. Currently, I'm in law school, also pursuing a Ph.D. in health care ethics. In short, I'm a full time housewife, law student, and Ph.D. candidate extraordinaire, part time domestic diva, and Chief Knerd of the Knitty Knerd Society. I love crafting, my cats, and fantasy books. I'm about 15 pounds too heavy, but I'm happy with myself so I don't care that much. My landlady is a little eccentric and obsessively clean, but I like her inspite of it, and wouldn't have my life any other way.

Welcome to the musings of someone who is legally competent, in a manner of speaking...
